The Stratocaster

Leo Fender and Fender Guitars produced its own solid body electric guitar back in 1951 and as the popular quote goes, “the rest is history.”

The Stratocaster was Fender’s flagship model. It was introduced to the public in 1954 and up until now, it is still one of the most popular electric guitar in the whole damn world. Why is it so popular? Well, the Stratocaster tone and design was flexible enough to be suitable for almost all genres; from classical to jazz, country, punk, metal, rock and roll and blues. Name it and the Strat can play it. Who uses Stratocaster?

Well, one of the Strat users I know, I think you’ve heard of him is Eric Clapton. It was like Eric Clapton was meant for the Strat. His voice and his style in playing the guitar fits the strat perfectly, everything was natural. Another popular guitar player who uses the Stratocaster was the late Jimi Hendrix. His legacy shaped the history of the guitar world and has become the catalyst which gave way to the birth of many other guitar gods like Joe Satriani and john Mayer.

The quality of a Fender Stratocaster has improved over time. There are also cheaper versions as well, for those who can’t afford the expensive American and Mexican standard; they could instead buy the Squier Strat, Squier Affinity series and the cheapest of them all, the Bullet. But don’t get me wrong, eventhough it’s cheap, the Fender quality stays the same
